BSE Market Timings 2026

BSE trades take place from 9.15 AM to 3.30 PM on weekdays, while Saturday and Sunday are BSE holidays.

Pre-market open trading takes place between 9.00 AM and 9.15 AM.

Apart from weekends, several national holidays with cultural and religious significance are also considered BSE trading holidays. The BSE has also segregated trading and clearing holidays. Trading holidays constitute no transactions in the Bombay Stock Exchange.

On days when BSE holidays are cleared, on the other hand, securities are purchased and sold. Still, financial transfers of resources from investors to companies are postponed as banks remain non-functional on these days.

  • Modification/order entry begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 9:15 AM on all business days.
  • The physical market, if operational, or the normal market opens at 9:15 AM and closes at 3:30 PM on all business days.
  • The morning block deal window runs from 8:45 AM to 9:00 AM. The afternoon block deal window runs from 2:05 PM to 2:20 PM. The trading session is closed between 3:40 PM and 4:00 PM.

Also, if necessary, the trading hours can be expanded, reduced, or advanced.

Muhurat Trading on BSE
