The question is not "which costs less per trade" - it is "which generates better risk-adjusted returns over time". Our portfolio performance data (e.g., KSL Elite Portfolio B: +54.57% vs Nifty 50's +26.71% since inception) reflects the value of active research-backed management.
Options: Give the buyer the right, but not obligation to buy (Call) or sell (Put) an asset at a strike price before expiry. The buyer pays a premium and has limited downside (premium paid). The seller receives premium but has theoretically unlimited risk (for naked positions). Options are more complex but can be used for precise hedging and income strategies.
Your securities are held directly in your CDSL demat account - in your name, not KSL's. Your funds must be used only for stated purposes under SEBI's Client Fund Segregation rules. KSL cannot use client securities or funds for its own purposes.
A Demat Account holds financial securities in electronic form. In India, Demat Accounts are maintained by two depository organisations: NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited) and CDSL (Central Depository Services Limited).
There are 3 types of Demat Accounts:
- Regular Demat Account: For investors/traders who reside within India.
- Repatriable Demat Account: For NRIs. Funds and proceeds can be transferred abroad. It requires an associated NRE bank account.
- Non-Repatriable Demat Account: For NRIs. Funds cannot be transferred abroad. It requires an associated NRO bank account.
A Demat Account helps keep your equity investments, mutual fund units, bonds, and other financial assets safe and secure in an online electronic environment. With a Demat and trading account, you can not only invest in upcoming IPOs of companies but also start mutual funds, digital gold, and Stock SIPs with ease.
Any individual resident of India, HUF, NRI, proprietary firm, partnership firm, LLP, or registered company can open a Demat and Trading Account with KSL.

Yes, online derivative trading in India is completely safe when conducted through a SEBI-registered broker like KSL. Our platform uses secure 256-bit encryption protocols, direct exchange connectivity with NSE & BSE, and transparent transaction ledgers to protect your trades and personal information. As with any market-linked instrument, it is essential to understand leverage and trade with a disciplined, research-backed risk strategy.
Opening a derivative trading account with KSL is fast and 100% digital. You can complete the process online by submitting your PAN card, Aadhaar, bank proof, and income proof (such as a 6-month bank statement, ITR acknowledgement, or latest salary slip). Once your KYC is verified, your F&O derivative segment is activated, enabling you to trade stock and index futures and options immediately.

Yes, KSL's research desk provides regular FNO trading strategies, including multi-leg option strategies (Spreads, Straddles, Iron Condors), index hedging techniques, and technical momentum recommendations. These actionable insights help both new and active traders navigate trending and volatile market phases.
As per SEBI regulations, to activate the FNO derivatives segment, you will need to submit: PAN card, Aadhaar card, bank proof, and valid financial income proof (such as your latest 6-month bank statement with salary/activity, latest ITR acknowledgement, Form 16, or DP holding statement). Once verified, your FNO segment is activated within 24 to 48 hours.
Yes, KSL allows you to trade both stock and index futures and options on NSE and BSE. This gives you complete flexibility to trade high-volume indices like Nifty 50, Bank Nifty, and FinNifty, as well as individual stock derivative contracts across major market sectors.
Futures contracts are legally binding agreements where both buyer and seller are obligated to fulfill the transaction at the agreed price on the expiry date. Options contracts, by contrast, give the buyer the right, but not the obligation, to buy (Call) or sell (Put) the asset, while the option seller (writer) is obligated to fulfill the contract if exercised by the buyer.
FNO trading involves leverage, which amplifies both profit potential and capital risk. Key risks include high market volatility, margin call requirements, time decay (Theta) on option buyer positions, and liquidity gaps in far-month contracts. Traders should always implement strict stop-loss discipline, position sizing, and risk management frameworks before trading derivatives.
